For the latest Michael Bay-directed robot brawl, Transformers: The Last Knight, advertising agency Concept Arts hired Rainfall to create a series of motion posters based on eight of the main characters. Industrial Light & Magic, who produced by the visual effects for the film, provided a series of animations for eight Transformers including Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, which Rainfall composited into various locations from the film. Final touches included particle effects, fire, smoke, and color grading.
The posters were used heavily in the film’s promotion leading up to release, on social media, billboards, and in-theater displays.
