After graduating from Art Center College of Design’s acclaimed film program in 2002, Sam began work on commercials and music videos for Nelly, Amerie, Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, and many others. His job as editor & graphic artist soon led to becoming Lead VFX Supervisor at Burbank-based L2 Digital.
In 2008, he took a risk and left his job to co-form Rainfall Films. Over the course of its first year, Sam produced content and post services for Philips, EA Games, and Rockhard Films, as Rainfall grew into a recognized name for quality, reliability, and innovation.
As a director, Sam has designed and filmed national network spots for ABC Studios and IGN, music videos, television specials for the G4 network, and numerous award-winning short films. His Legend of Zelda trailer for IGN became their most-viewed video of the year with over 20 million hits, and his Wonder Woman and Metroid shorts have received worldwide media coverage. He has appeared on Good Morning America, MTV News, Variety, and spoken at industry events including SIGGRAPH and NAB.
Sam currently spearheads Rainfall’s live action production, graphic design, and visual effects departments.
